CATON TAXPAYERS
2026 Town & County Tax Bills are payable at the Caton Town Hall through March 31st, 2026. After that date they are only payable at the Steuben County Finance Department in Bath, NY.
Need a copy of a Town & County tax bill? You can go back as far as 2007 on the "PAY TAXES" link above to view and print a copy.
Caton Town Clerks Office
Credit/Debit card and E-check now accepted to pay for dog licenses, hunting licenses, marriage licenses, building permits & for any purchase made in the Town Clerk's Office.
E-check surcharge is $2.50. Credit card surcharge for any item purchased is 2.75% added to the card.
As always, you can still pay in person by check or in cash with no service fee.

2026 Town Board Workshop
On March 5 2026 the Caton Town Board will hold a workshop session at the Town hall to discuss 2026 Objectives starting at 6PM
2026 TOWN & COUNTY TAX COLLECTION
TOWN OF CATON NOTICE OF RECEIPT OF 2026 TAX ROLL AND WARRANT
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that I, Avonne M Dickerson, the undersigned Collector of Taxes for the Town of Caton, Steuben County, State of New York, have received the 2026 Tax Roll and Warrant for the collection of taxes within the Town of Caton; and that I will attend at my office in the Caton Town Hall located at 11161 Hendy Hollow Road, Corning NY, during regular office hours as stated: Monday & Thursday-1 pm to 5 pm;
Tuesday and Wednesday-9 am to 12 noon.
TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that taxes shall be received with 0% penalty through Monday, February 2nd, 2026, 1% penalty through Monday, March 2nd, 2026, and a 2% penalty from March 3rd, 2026 through Tuesday, March 31st, 2026, after which time they shall be returned to the Steuben County Finance Office in Bath NY.
